This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to work as a deckhand on a commercial fishing vessel. You will learn how to: operate a small vessel; apply coastal navigation and meteorology skills; apply principles and knowledge of marine biology and ecology to practical tasks; develop your fisheries management skills; apply commercial fishing techniques; and how to effectively use technology in the field of aquaculture.
