Certificate III in Fitness (13)

Central Regional TAFE, TAFE WA

This qualification is part of the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring autonomous work within a defined range of exercise instruction situations and activities. Qualification outcomes will depend on the elective grouping chosen and may include providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.

No minimum education


15 units: 10 core; 5 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Provide first aid; Provide fitness orientation and health screening; Provide quality service in the fitness industry; Develop and apply an awareness of specific populations to exercise delivery; Apply anatomy and physiology principles in a fitness context; Provide healthy eating information to clients in accordance with recommended guidelines; Maintain sport, fitness and recreation equipment for activities; Work effectively in sport and recreation environments; Follow OHS policies; Undertake risk analysis of activities. Electives: Instruct and monitor fitness programs; Plan and deliver water based fitness activities; Plan and deliver gym programs; Undertake client health assessment; plus more.
