This course represents the competencies relevant to people working in the aquaculture sector of the seafood industry at a management level.

4 core units plus 17 electives.

Core: Communicate in the seafood industry; Work effectively in the seafood industry; Meet workplace OHS requirements; plus Apply basic food handling and safety practices; or Apply quality systems and procedures. Specialist: Develop a marketing plan; Manage risk; Develop and implement an aquaculture breeding strategy; Export product; Develop workplace policy for sustainability; plus more. Elective streams: Aquaculture operations; Farm operations; Ornamental operations; Quality assurance and food safety; Business services; Community management; Strategic management; plus more.

Students wishing to access VET Student Loans are required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills, or provide evidence of successful completion of SACE Stage 2 or equivalent Australian Year 12 certificate, or completion of Certificate IV or above, as part of course counselling before enrolling.
