Centre for Appropriate Technology Ltd (CfAT)

Established in 1980, Centre for Appropriate Technology Ltd (CfAT) is a Registered Training Organisation and an Indigenous science and technology centre. CfAT's principal objective is research into appropriate technologies for remote communities. CfAT's research, design, training and development focus is on securing sustainable livelihoods through appropriate technology. Research and development is in the fields of water supply and quality, energy, communication, shelter, waste and sanitation, transport education, training and capacity building.
