Centre for Pavement Engineering Education

The Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE), formerly the Australasian Pavement Studies and Research Centre (APSARC), is a non-profit organisation providing value added higher education programs and research assistance for the pavement industry. The primary objectives of CPEE are to promote and expedite the inclusion of pavement studies in undergraduate civil engineering programs; to improve pavement studies opportunities for postgraduate students and industry personnel seeking continuing education; and to support and facilitate industry-relevant pavement research at universities. CPEE offers distance learning and short courses to facilitate the transfer of information between academic institutions, road authorities, private companies, research organisations and others relevant groups that will lead to CPEE graduates possessing the high level practical knowledge and skills demanded by the infrastructure industry. CPEE offers courses in infrastructure asset management and road engineering and construction jointly with the University of Tasmania. CPEE, as an accredited private provider of higher education, also conducts its own Graduate Certificate and Master of Pavement Technology courses.
