Bachelor of Psychological Science (Graduate Entry)

If you wish to pursue a career as a psychologist, this Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course will provide you with foundational knowledge in Psychology. The Bachelor of Psychological Science (Graduate Entry) can be completed online and/or on campus. It is designed to provide you with an integrated understanding of human behaviour and to orient you to the scientist-practitioner model upon which psychological science is based. After completing this course, you may be eligible to apply for entry into the 1-year Bachelor of Psychological Science Honours (VPSSH2) course. Structure

You will be provided with knowledge from core areas of psychology such as human development, social-cultural perspectives, and research methods, whilst having the opportunity to explore areas of interest from a selection of units specifically designed for this course.

Entry requirements

  • Successful completion of:
  • A recognized bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification and.
  • Successful completion of the following first year CDU psychology units (or equivalent units undertaken at another institution as part of an APAC accredited degree):PSY140/PSY150 Introduction to Psychology APSY141/PSY151 Introduction to Psychology BPSY101 Introduction to Research Skills.
  • Applicants who have undertaken equivalent units at another institution as part of an APAC-accredited degree must include information about these units (e. g. unit outlines) with their application in order for these to be assessed for equivalence.
  • Applicants who have completed an APAC-accredited psychology degree at least three or more years ago are eligible to apply. Please note that no credit will be granted for any units completed within the APAC-accredited psychology degree.
