The Post Graduate certificate in Primary Health Care supports the registered nurse to advance their knowledge and skills in the specialist area of primary health care. Structure

This degree is offered part-time over one year. Students complete 2 core units of study before selecting an elective in their second semester to specialize in urban or remote primary health care nursing.

Entry requirements

  • All applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Successful completion of a recognized bachelor degree in nursing (or equivalent international qualification).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 Registered Nurse Hospital-trained nurses with current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 registered nurse may also be considered.
  • It is expected applicants will have relevant employment in the field of nursing specialization.
