Structure
The Master of Medical Laboratory Science comprises of core units within the diagnostics specializations; haematology, pathology, clinical chemistry, bacteriology, mycology, virology and parasitology and transfusion, and be introduced to research. Students will undertake two professional placements in diagnostic laboratories.
Entry requirements
- Applicants must have successfully completed:
- A recognized bachelor degree or international equivalent qualification in a biomedical or medical health discipline.
- At least one unit (or studies within a unit) at a degree level or higher in each of the following fields:
- Anatomy & Physiology.
- Biochemistry.
- Microbiology.
- Immunology.
- Genetics.
- Due to professional recognition, applicants who have completed a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science undergraduate degree are not eligible for entry into this course.
