The Graduate Certificate of Indigenous Engagement will provide students with an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the effective and respectful engagement with people in Indigenous contexts. Students will explore and critically analyse the historical and contemporary contexts of interaction between Indigenous and non-indigenous people and develop communication skills to assist in establishing, maintaining and promoting respectful interactions and partnerships targeted to areas of professional expertise.
Structure
The course requires the successful completion of 40 credit points of study. Two core units provide a foundation in understanding historical and contemporary Indigenous contexts in Australia. Two Specialist Electives allow the student to focus their study in areas of interest including research, public policy, health, education, language or economy.

Standard entry requirements
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelors degree or equivalent. Consideration will be given to non-graduates who have over five year of demonstrated relevant professional experience.
