This program is designed to give an introduction to the life and languages of the Yolngu people in North East Arnhemland. The course concentrates on Yolngu Matha (Yolngu language) forms of Dhuwala, and focuses on the everyday community version of the language.

Standard entry requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Or native speakers of a Yolngu language who do not have a bachelor degree, but are recognised by the Yolngu advisors to the school as having good literacy skills or experience in research or education. People in regular contact with Yolngu through their professions, and who can demonstrate significant knowledge of culture and language proficiency, may be considered for entry to the program.
