This program is designed to develop the key attributes and skills required by senior and middle managers in the business areas of commerce, industry and the public sector. Candidates may choose to study a particular area or areas of business.

Entry Requirements:

Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a business field; OR Successful completion of a recognised non business award (Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma) aimed at providing the student with professional skills that include a systematic exposure to disciplines such as industrial relations, human resource management, project management, financial management, marketing, economics, e-commerce or strategic management plus a minimum of 6 months employment experience; OR Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in an unrelated field plus a minimum of two years full-time work experience in a managerial role

Structure:

The course consists of a total of twelve units or 120 credit points comprising eight core units (80cp) plus four units (40cp) from specialist elective units.

Charles Darwin University is the major tertiary education and vocational education and training institution in the Northern Territory.

Originally established as a tertiary institution in 1974, it became the Northern Territory University in 1989 and Charles Darwin University in 2003.

The main University campus is located at Casuarina in Darwin with campuses at Alice Springs, Katherine and Palmerston. VET courses are also offered at Jabiru, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek and Yulara Centres as well as at various remote community centres.

The University provides multi-sector education with Senior Secondary, VET, Higher Education and Research facilities.

CDU also deliver a number of courses through the Australian Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Education (ACIKE), which is a joint initiative between Charles Darwin University (CDU) and the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE). The three main sites for delivery will be at the main ACIKE Hub CDU Casuarina campus and at the BIITE campuses at Batchelor and the Alice Springs Desert Peoples' Centre.
