Department of Treasury and Finance Work Integrated Learning Scholarships in Economics or Accounting

The scholarship was established to provide financial support and encourage student participation at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and in the Territory workforce by providing financial assistance during the study semester and paid work experience during semester breaks.

Eligibility

Applicants must be: enrolled in the Bachelor of Accounting or Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Accounting or Economics; enrolled full-time for the duration of the scholarship; a resident of the Northern Territory who resides in Darwin; an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.

Amount $5,000

The total value of the scholarship is $15,000, paid in instalments of $2,500 each semester (payable in 6 equal instalments over 3 years). The successful student will be employed on a temporary contract with the NT Public Sector - Department of Treasury and Finance and a salary will be paid on a fortnightly basis during the paid work placement at an Administrative Officer level 2 salary (base level).
