The Graduate Certificate of Health Services Management is designed to extend knowledge gained through your undergraduate health studies. This course will prepare you for management within the healthcare sector, by developing your understanding of:the impact of technological innovation in healthcare management and service deliverymanaging human and financial resourcesplanning for change in different contexts.You will explore delivery processes, critical reflection on own decision-making processes, and the effects of policy and politics on health care provision and access.It is expected that you will already be employed or have recent management experience within the health sector. Structure

This course consists of core units building on a foundation of healthcare knowledge and skills. This course will introduce concepts of change management, the impact of innovative technologies in healthcare management and service delivery, managing human and financial resources and planning for change in different contexts.A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 40 credit points as detailed below. Standard entry requirements

  • Successful completion of a bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification in health studies, management or business and evidence of recent experience in a health setting in a management capacity
  • OrConsideration will also be given to applicants who demonstrate at least five years appropriate professional experience in middle to higher level management in a health service organisation.
