The Bachelor of Educational Studies offers a flexible, generalist degree, with a wide range of opportunities available to graduates. Students can choose to exit with the Associate Degree or Diploma of Educational Studies. Graduates of these courses do not attain a professional teaching qualification without undertaking further study. Graduates who already have a teaching degree, may use the degree to upgrade their qualifications or extend their professional knowledge by drawing on a wide range of education or education related subjects.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Certificate III


192 points or 24 x 8 point subjects for the Bachelor degree, 128 or 16 x 8 point subjects for the Associate Degree in Educational Studies, 64 points or 8 x 8 point subjects for the Diploma of Educational Studies

Charles Sturt University frequently recognises prior learning including study at other institutions in many of its degrees. Each request for credit is individually assessed prior to the commencement of the course. Students may exit with the Associate Degree in Educational Studies upon the completion of 128 subject points. The University Certificate in Educational Studies is a stand-alone course and comprises 64 subject points from the Bachelor of Educational Studies.
