Charles Sturt's pharmacy course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in rural, regional and metropolitan healthcare settings. Studies in chemistry and biology come together in this course, along with practical instruction in community and hospital pharmacy, dispensing, medication management and health counselling. You will learn the 'soft skills' that allow pharmacists to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, including communication and interpersonal skills, time management, decision-making and problem-solving. You may also participate in specialist areas of study such as rural health, vaccination training and international programs.par

Charles Sturt University frequently recognises prior learning including study at other institutions in many of its degrees. Each request for credit is individually assessed prior to commencement of the course.

Recognition:

The Bachelor of Pharmacy has been accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council. This course qualifies graduates (after completion of the postgraduate internship year) to register nationally with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, under the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) umbrella. The qualification is also recognised by the Pharmacy Guild, the Pharmaceutical Society and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
