students must complete 32 subjects (31 core subjects plus one restricted elective), plus Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation from an external provider. The Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation is represented on the students transcript as a 16-point credit package REC01C Outdoor Recreation Credit. Including this credit package, the Bachelor of Outdoor Education has a total point value of 264 points. All subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated.
Standard entry requirements
- Year 12 or equivalent
- Where students do not meet the government requirements for English and Mathematics, Charles Sturt University offers approved pathways and concurrent study
This course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) until 31 December 2019 for national accreditation recognised by the Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL).
Credit for prior learning and credit for current competencies will be granted to eligible applicants. Students who have completed the TAFE Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation are awarded transfer credit represented as REC01C Outdoor Recreation Credit (16 points) upon application.
