The Bush Childrens Education Foundation Scholarship was established in 2006 to provide a first year student from a remote community, assistance throughout the duration of their degree.
Eligibility Requirements
Your home origin address has a Regional Rating of RA2-RA5, please check your Regional Rating prior to applying, (enter your address, and scroll to the RSGS Remoteness Areas 2021) Rurality Rating Check.; Demonstrated financial hardship by providing a Centrelink Income Statement or outline your financial need in the 'Why financial assistance is required' free text box in application.; Applicant should be studying for a career that could be applied to a rural context. There would be an intention that upon graduation the graduate would work in a country area.; Applicant should have a strong empathy with the bush community.; Applicants are required to write a 250 word essay "Provide information on the remote/isolated area of NSW where you live and also indicate your empathy with the community" in the provided free text box on the application form.; Preference may be given to applicants who were in receipt of the Federal Government's AIC Allowance or the LAFHA (Living Away from Home) Allowance (supporting documentation to be provided).
