The Rotary Club of Wollundry, Wagga Wagga is one of the city’s largest and most active community service organisations. The club manages major fund-raising events which provide funds to support a variety of local, national and international projects. Rotary is committed to the development of young people. It is for this reason that the club initiated the Rotary Club of Wollundry Scholarship to provide support for rural and regional students as they undertake science-related courses at Charles Sturt University. It is acknowledged that rural and regional students have additional challenges as they pursue tertiary education. It is also understood that on completion of their studies, these students are more likely to establish careers in rural and regional areas. The Rotary Club of Wollundry Scholarship has provided support for students for more than 30 years and continues to support the development of young leaders.
