This unit is part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package. It covers the skills and knowledge required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level. This includes scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines and bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork) for licensing purposes. It is based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

It provides training for industries including construction, mining, wine, entertainment, automotive, manufacturing, maritime, transport and the Defence Forces throughout South Australia and beyond. The provider employs and contracts over 20 trainers who specialise in areas such as dogging, rigging, scaffolding, various crane and forklift operating, white card training, WHS, plant assessment, truck licensing, working safely at heights and more on request.
