This unit is part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package. It specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely. Forklift truck means a truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage which is attached to a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised 900mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; a person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck high risk work (HRW) licence

Established in 1994, the Construction Industry Training Centre Inc is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation that provides education and training for workers within or seeking to become engaged in industry. It provides training for industries including construction, mining, wine, entertainment, automotive, manufacturing, maritime, transport and the Defence Forces throughout South Australia and beyond. The provider employs and contracts over 20 trainers who specialise in areas such as dogging, rigging, scaffolding, various crane and forklift operating, white card training, WHS, plant assessment, truck licensing, working safely at heights and more on request.
