This course will allow students to develop and demonstrate technical engineering knowledge and skills with a choice to specialise in civil, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, or mining engineering. This course incorporates project based learning, providing students the opportunity to learn in context, in formal and informal learning environments such as workshops, classes and project studios. Teamwork, communication and problem solving skills are learned alongside technical content in this exciting real-world engineering course.

Entry Requirements:

QTAC: Maths B (4, SA); English (4, SA); UAC: Mathematics (Band 2), English (Standard) (Band 2); VTAC: Units three and four: a study score of at least 25 in any English; and a study score of at least 25 in one Maths: Mathematical Methods (CAS) or Maths Specialist Mathematics. English language requirements apply.


27 units (192 credit points).

Study Pathways:

Exit award: Diploma of Engineering Studies. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) may also be used as an alternative entry path into the Bachelor of Engineering Co-op (Honours) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Engineering). Upon completion of the degree, students may undertake postgraduate study in engineering including Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master level courses.
