This course is designed to develop professional expertise in the identification of occupational health and safety hazards in the workplace. It equips you with knowledge in occupational health, occupational hygiene, ergonomics, and human factors, accident investigation and safety management. It also provides exposure to a wide variety of hands-on experience, including participation in worksite visits and 120 hours of work placement, ensuring students graduate work ready.

Some units within this course have a compulsory residential school. Some units within this course are only available to study online. An exit award may be available: Associate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Recommended Study: Senior English, Senior Mathematics and a Senior Science subject.

Recognition:

Graduates may be eligible to apply for Chartered Professional Membership with the Safety Institute of Australia once they have completed the appropriate years of service.
