This qualification is part of the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package. It reflects the role of a skilled operator working in trenchless technology in the civil construction industry, who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

26 units: 18 core; 8 electives

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Plan and organise work; Carry out measurements and calculations; Read and interpret plans and specifications; Support plant operations; Carry out manual excavation; Identify, locate and protect underground services; Use hand and power tools; Install trench support; plus more. Electives: Conduct impact moling, ramming and augering; Control micro tunnelling and pipe-jacking; Install cure in-place linings for existing pipeline systems; Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level; Cut, weld and bend materials; Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above); plus more.
