Entry requirements for Curtin College
Curtin College Diplomas are taught in two stages. Where students start will depend on the applicants qualifications.
The Diploma (Stage 1) is designed for students that are not eligible for direct entry into the Diploma (Stage 2). 7 pre-university level units are studied over two or three trimesters. Progression to the Diploma (Stage 2) requires the achievement of qualifying grades varying from 50% to 65%.
The Diploma (Stage 2) consists of 8 or 9 university level units studied over 2-3 study periods and has the same course content and structure as year one of the corresponding Curtin University undergraduate degree.
Entry to the Diploma (Stage 1) or the Diploma (Stage 2) is based on English proficiency and academic record. Applicants without sufficient English, can undertake courses in general academic English designed specifically for intending students, at Curtin or any other institution offering such courses in Australia.
