Ranked among the world’s best
Curtin’s growing reputation has seen us rapidly rise up the international rankings in recent years. In 2019, we were ranked among the top one per cent of the world’s universities in the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
Curtin was also ranked first in Australia, and second in the world, for mineral and mining engineering in the 2019 QS World University Rankings by Subject.
Curtin has campuses in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore. If your course is available at a different location, you can study part of your course on another campus easily, with no interruption to your studies.
You could also undertake a short-term program, international internship, volunteer program or exchange program at one of our partner universities in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America or South America.
Research and development
Curtin leads, or is involved with, a number of major international research projects, centres and collaborations, including the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy, the Centre for Crop and Disease Management and Innovation Central Perth.
Curtin’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses are regularly reviewed by industry, business and government to ensure you are prepared for today’s changing global market.
We have also incorporated work-integrated learning activities and introduced technology-rich environments that recreate real workplaces, such as a simulated hospital ward, stock market trading room and digital marketing agency, so you graduate with the skills that employers want.
Curtin offers courses across a variety of study areas, including:
- agriculture, environment and sustainability
- architecture and construction
- the arts and creative industries
- business, management and law
- culture, society and indigenous
- engineering and mining
- IT and computing
- physical sciences and mathematics.
A place of innovation
We are now five years into our 20-year plan to create ‘Greater Curtin’, which will see our campus in Perth transformed into a major innovation precinct for the Asia-Pacific region.
The plan includes new transport infrastructure, student accommodation, dedicated spaces and programs to support entrepreneurship, and facilities to encourage new research and industry partnerships.
There’s a sense of community both in and out of the classroom. Between classes, you can enjoy a range of activities including sports and fitness, social clubs and societies, volunteer work and exciting campus events.
If you choose to study with Curtin, you can expect to build life skills and become part of a forward-thinking, international community committed to sharing innovative ideas.
