This course enables students to pursue their interest in science by choosing a major from the following list, as well as one stream where listed associated with that major (options shown in brackets): Chemistry (streams: Biological Chemistry; Analytical and Forensic Chemistry; Geochemistry); Coastal and Marine Science; Environmental Biology; Environmental Science; Extractive Metallurgy; Geophysics; Industrial and Applied Mathematics; Financial Mathematics; Mining; Multidisciplinary Science; Physics (streams: Mathematical Physics; Materials Physics; Astrophysics; Environmental Physics); Biochemistry (streams; Chemistry; Environment); Agriculture Science; Food Science; Industrial Optimisation (YUS China students only).

- Students enrolled in Majors with at least 100 credit points of elective units are able to enrol in a Minor course of study from the School of Science or elsewhere in the University. Students articulating from Yanshan University (China) will enrol directly into the Industrial Optimisation Major.

Honours is available as an additional one year course following completion of this degree. A Science and Engineering Enabling Course is available for students who do not meet the entrance requirements. This allows students to study all prerequisites required in the areas of engineering, science, health and information technology.
