This program is designed for students who wish to do a limited amount of accounting studies and still qualify for a formal award, including those qualified in another discipline, giving students the flexibility to choose units that are right for them. If students are hoping to apply for the CA program for Chartered Accountants Australia, they might undertake the units required for that pathway. Upon completion of this course, students can progress to the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting, Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Commerce or Master of Accounting and International Finance.
4 credit points: minimum of 2 credit points from one list and a maximum of two credit points from a second list and the compulsory zero credit point academic integrity unit.
Standard entry requirements
A Bachelor degree in any discipline, or at least 2 years relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent), or evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent.
Students who wish to enter the CA program of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Associate Membership for the CPA program of the Certified Practising Accountants Australia, the IPA program of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and exemptions may apply for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), are advised that it is their responsibility to ensure that they take the appropriate units required for entry.
Successful completion of this course allows articulation into the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting, the Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Accounting and International Finance or Master of Commerce with full credit for units completed.
