Established in 1998, Design College Australia Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation. It provides hands-on industry based training to small, capped classes. All lecturers are industry active and specialists in their fields, servicing clients through the in-house design studio and/or their own design practice. Courses have been structured to develop the creative as well as the technical skills of employable graduates.
Entry requirements for Design College Australia Pty Ltd
Students are admitted to the course on the basis of results of secondary education and a folio of work, including a folio brief; and an interview. Advanced Diploma, Diploma and Certificate IV Entry Requirements: students must have completed year 12, Senior in the Queensland education system, or its equivalent, and have achieved an SA in English in years 11 and 12; OR workplace/life-based literacy and numeracy skills such as those attained through mature age; OR competencies such as those achieved through completion of the Diploma of Visual Communication (for entry to the Advanced Diploma), or the Certificate IV of Visual Communication (for entry to the Diploma), or the Certificate II of Visual Communication (for entry to the Certificate IV).
Transfering your previous study credits
RPL/RCC is available for all units however it is highly desirable and recommended that students complete the first semester of a Design College Australia course, regardless of previous qualifications. This enables the students to gain a solid grasp of the philosophical and psychological basis on which the courses are founded.
