Edith Cowan University ECU
Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level: Postgraduate
CRICOS: 00279B
Provides an opportunity for practicing engineers and technologists in the broad electrical engineering field to update and broaden their discipline skills to adapt to new requirements for professional practice. A balanced approach between theory and practice is used in the course, giving students a comprehensive exposure to advanced concepts and techniques concerning the design and operation of renewable energy systems. Students have access to a state-of-the-art teaching facility, equipped with a wide range of renewable energy generation, monitoring and management systems. For recent graduates this course enables the adding of a second specialisation to a first degree, thus broadening opportunities for career development. For more experienced engineers, the course can contribute to ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and provide a pathway to adding a second area of accredited practice or to bring knowledge and skills up to date with modern standards.
