Standard entry requirements

University admission requirements apply. All applicants are required to provide proof of current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Registered Nurse Division 1), and provide proof of employment as a midwifery student in a maternity hospital, and provide a statement detailing their interest in the midwifery course and the skills they have achieved in nursing to assist midwifery practice, and provide a copy of their resume.

Non-Standard Timetable: Students should note this course takes two years minimum to complete as the first year is taken part-time and second year full-time. Students complete the first year of the course part-time to enable them to commence their 'continuity of care' clinical experiences, where they meet regularly with women during their pregnancy and perinatal period. The second year of the course is full-time. Students should also note, that five of the units are offered online only. Reporting Obligations: ECU has an obligation to report details of enrolled in this course.
