This qualification is part of the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to work in a diversity of fitness industry businesses including fitness centres, gyms, aquatic facilities, community facilities and in open spaces.

Entry Requirements:

Certificate IV in Fitness plus minimum of 1 year post qualification fitness industry experience in the application of the skills and knowledge of the Certificate IV in Fitness.

Structure:

18 units: 5 core; 13 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Conduct health promotion activities; Apply evidence-based practice to exercise programs; Apply anatomy and physiology to advanced personal training; Instruct advanced exercise programs; Implement injury prevention strategies. Elective: Manage budgets and financial plans; Develop and implement service programs; Develop and maintain networks and collaborative partnerships; plus more.

Applicants must possess Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication, and numeracy skills to successfully complete this program. Students who do not possess these skills to the level required will be enrolled in additional subjects to build the required skills.
