Certificate III in Production Horticulture

This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It provides a vocational outcome in production horticulture and enables individuals to select a tree cropping, vegetable or berry production, grape growing or mushroom production context as a job focus, or a mixture in the case of mixed enterprises.

Core: Contribute to WHS processes. Electives: Transport, handle and store chemicals; Prepare and apply chemicals; Coordinate horticultural crop harvesting; Harvest horticultural crops mechanically; Fumigate soil using chemicals; Conduct fumigation in enclosed spaces; Work effectively in an emergency disease or plant pest response; Prepare raw materials and compost the feedstocks; Operate spreading and seeding equipment; Supervise mushroom substrate preparation; plus more.
