Entry requirements

Year 12: Prerequisites Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any English. This course uses the ATAR as part of its selection considerations.Non Year 12: Evaluated based on their previous VCE studies/equivalent.

Credit will be considered if you have successfully completed higher education or TAFE studies relevant to this degree. Advanced standing will be determined on an individual basis, depending on your eligibility for credit transfer, prior experience and qualifications. Candidates seeking alternate entry can consider the following options: Federation Access Studies (FAST), including FASTP1203 Introduction to Technical maths. On successful completion of FAST, including FASTP1203 Introduction to Technical maths, students can apply for the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) for Semester 1. Enrol in single courses such as ENGIN1000 Engineering Statics, ENGIN1015 Introductory mathematics to demonstrate ability to be successful on the program. Apply for the Diploma of Engineering - Technical (FedUni TAFE, Ballarat) which offers an articulation pathway into Higher Education and a number of credits towards the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
