If you hope to become a HPE teacher but you did not meet the entry requirements, this degree will offer you 2 options to become a VIT registered HPE teacher. Commence this degree, and at the completion of first year, if you have maintained a good academic standard, you may be eligible to apply for a transfer into the second year of the FedUni Bachelor of Health and Physical Education. This means that you may still qualify as a VIT registered PE teacher within 4 years of study. Alternatively, you may complete the 3 years of this degree, and continue into a Master of Teaching in either Secondary or Primary teaching and qualify as a VIT registered teacher within 4.5 years. Also, don't forget that when you complete this degree, you will have gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of sport, physical and outdoor education which will prepare you for employment in a wide variety of careers. But the best thing about this degree, is that you can start studying and keep your options open to explore the world of sporting and recreation and educational careers.

Standard entry requirements
- Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematicsor Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics
- Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in any English.
