The Diploma of University Studies (Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education) is your pathway to an outdoor education or PE teaching career, and we will give you all the support you need to get you there. This pathway will suit you if have decided on Outdoor Ed or PE teaching but do not have the entry requirements after completing VCE, or you are now be considering going to university completing either VCAL or an unscored VCE. The Diploma will prepare you for degree level study while getting you started on the subjects you will need to earn a sport, physical and outdoor education qualification.

Standard entry requirements

Entry requirements (year 12) Admission criteria for recent secondary graduates (Current year 12 and graduates from 2017 and 2018) Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of any Maths or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 18 in any English. Literacy and numeracy test Compulsory: Applicants who are currently completing VCAL, unscored VCE, or those who do not meet the specified pre-requisite studies will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy test to determine their eligibility for admission. Graduates of the Foundation Access Studies (FAST) program may pathway into the Diploma of University Studies, with credit. Successful completion of the Diploma of University Studies (Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education) provides a pathway into the 2nd year of the following programs: Bachelor of Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education Bachelor of Outdoor Environmental Education
