This qualification is part of the Information and Communications Technology Training Package. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to administer and manage information and communications technology (ICT) support in small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) using a wide range of general ICT technologies.. Persons working at this level provide a broader rather than specialised ICT support function, applying a wide range of higher level technical skills in ICT areas such as networking, IT support, database development, programming and web development.

20 units: 4 core; 16 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Ensure a safe workplace; Develop workplace policy and procedures for sustainability; Gather data to identify business requirements; Match ICT needs with the strategic direction of the enterprise. Electives: Plan, implement and test enterprise communication solutions; Implement secure encryption technologies; Install and maintain valid authentication processes; Design and implement an integrated server solution; Design, build and test a network server; plus more.

As our teachers have industry experience and because FedUni has a long history in the trade training business, we have close ties with local industries and businesses. This results in a very high placement rate of apprentices and graduates with local companies.

We are also home to Federation College, offering a range of VET and preparatory courses for those looking for alternative options for completing their education.
