Structure

  • Students will complete several core topics over the three years in areas such as criminology, legal studies and sociology, which will give them a sound understanding of the criminal justice system, law enforcement and the courts, justice policy and practice, and several areas of crime.   • Policing and Society
  • Punishment and Society
  • and Advanced Criminology. Students are also able to choose option topics in complementary disciplines such as Political Studies, Psychology, and Law, to suit their interests. Final year students will learn advanced research methods in the area of criminology, which will enable them to proceed to further study in Honours, if they so wish.
