The Bachelor of International Business (Wine, Spirits and Tourism) aims to provide students with a broad-based understanding of the critical business aspects of the wine sector both domestically and internationally and support development of knowledge and skills to undertake market analysis and make recommendations. This degree enables students to apply general theory, problem solving and analysis methods to the wine and wine tourism sector issues and formulate basic recommendations and support development of competencies and capabilities for employability across a wide range of wine business tourism and stakeholder organisations.
Structure
In first and second year, students complete topics in business and winemaking, while also learning how to taste and describe wine and spirits through a sensory lab. In the final year students complete a placement and have the opportunity for an Australian and international study tour.
Standard entry requirements
This course can be applied for using Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer.
