Structure

The degree develops knowledge of psychological theory and research regarding the factors influencing human behaviour and experience, and provides skills for the application of this knowledge to issues in the real world. The degree prepares graduates for possible entry into an Honours year in psychology.

  • Applicants must hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution (if a psychology major or sequence is held, it must have been completed three or more years ago), and meet the prerequisites for Second Year Psychology topics by having completed one of the following:The Flinders topics PSYC1101 and PSYC1102, or equivalent topics that are part of an Accredited Psychology Programs (APAC) accredited psychology major or sequence from another institution (or deemed equivalent)The Qualifying Topic (QT) for the Flinders University Bachelor of Psychological StudiesNote: It is recommended that students who completed PSYC1101 and PYSC1102 (or equivalent) more than 10 years ago complete the QT prior to commencing this program.However
