This graduate certificate is professionally-oriented and is intended for people who have current teaching responsibilities in a tertiary education institution. It provides an opportunity for applicants currently teaching in tertiary education to gain a formal qualification related to learning and teaching and scholarship of teaching.
Structure
This is an 18-unit program where students complete three core (compulsory) topics and one option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to provide students opportunities to critically examine recent literature, engage in debate and reflection, and expand and apply in-depth knowledge of policies and practices in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment with a focus in higher education.

Standard entry requirements
Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and normally be employed in a teaching position in a higher education institution. Applicants must provide details of their professional work experience in their SATAC application.
