Shift a Load Using Manually-operated Equipment (TLI Unit)


This unit is part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package. It involves the skills and knowledge required to shift loads using manually-operated mechanical equipment in compliance with the relevant work health and safety(WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) regulation within the transport and logistics industry. It includes assessing the risks associated with relocating the load, planning the relocation process, carrying out the relocation with the aid of the equipment in accordance with the plan and refurbishing the equipment and worksite.

Established in 1997, Gisborne Services Pty Ltd (trading as both Forktalk and Safetalk) is a Registered Training Organisation that embraces the essence of workplace training issues. The provider offers professional advice and strives to assist clients in complying with WHS legislation and in the implementation of safer work practices and procedures. Forktalk provides training and licensing for both Forklift (LF) and Order Picking Forklift (LO) and Elevating Work Platforms (WP) both at their site in Campbelltown, which is located 15 minutes south of Liverpool and at their clients' workplaces. Forktalk also provides a range of SafeWork NSW approved training, such as construction induction (white card) and Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training. We also offer other units of competency from the Transport and Logistics Training Package. Services provided by Forktalk and Safetalk are also offered on site at client's premises or other venues as required.
