Griffith College

The Griffith College Foundation program is equivalent to year 12 and provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies. Griffith College have designed this program to adequately prepare students for entry to university-level programs in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Design, Engineering, Health, Hotel Management, Information Technology (IT) and Science.

Entry Requirements:

English: IELTS 5.5 (no band <5.0) Higher English requirements apply for direct bachelor pathways to Laws, Science, Education and Engineering. Refer to the website for more details. Academic: Australian Year 11 or equivalent

Structure:

Sample program structure Semester 1: Academic communication skills 1; Computer skills; Elective course. Semester 2: Academic communication skills 2; Intercultural studies; Elective course.

Study Pathways:

Students who successfully complete all 8 courses in the Foundation Program and meet other relevant entry criteria, such as course pre-requisites, can progress to a Griffith College diploma or Griffith University bachelor degree. Students can choose to pathway through a diploma to enter their bachelor degree in second year, losing no time in achieving their study goals.

Upon successful completion of a Griffith College Diploma, students will gain entry into the second year of the equivalent degree program at Griffith University. Griffith College students are able to fast-track their studies and enter second year university after just eight months at Griffith College.

Students study on campus and are taught by university lecturers, providing more teaching hours per subject to help students stay ahead. Griffith College also offers a Foundation Program, and Associate Degree in Commerce and Business.
