Entry requirements for Griffith University

Undergraduate Studies par Griffith University selects students for admission to its undergraduate programs based on merit. Admission to most University programs is based on academic achievement in formal education or assessment of experience and other achievements. In addition to meeting the minimum English language proficiency requirements, there are some subject prerequisites where prior achievement in particular studies is considered to have a direct bearing on students' potential for success in the program concerned. Admission to programs at the Queensland Conservatorium is based on criteria such as talent and experience, which include audition and interview requirements.

Prior assumed knowledgepar All Griffith degrees have an English subject prerequisite. Maths (A, B or C), Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be replaced by prior assumed knowledge for the majority of undergraduate degrees. This means it is not compulsory for students to have studied these subjects in high school (or equivalent). However, it is highly recommended that if students are applying for a degree with prior assumed knowledge, that they have undertaken these subjects or bridging subjects to improve their chances of success.

Postgraduate Studies par Admission to the University's postgraduate programs is based on academic merit and approved entry criteria. The entry criteria for a specific postgraduate program may specify: Whether the degree is to include study in particular areas or disciplines; hold a Bachelor Honours degree or another AQF Level 8 qualification; an indication of other prior learning (a combination of formal, non-formal and informal) are acceptable in lieu of a degree; relevant work or professional experience or professional standing/recognition in, or membership of, a professional body is required; whether an interview is required; or the program is not open to international applicants, and the minimum English language proficiency requirements.
