Graduate Certificate in Academic Health Practice

Griffith University

Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level: Postgraduate
CRICOS: 00233E

Designed for health care practitioners with working commitments, this program will develop the additional capabilities needed to practice effectively in academic health care settings such as a university hospital or academically-affiliated community care service. It provides an introduction to the core areas of academic health practice: the education of learners in the workplace, health research and leadership in health care settings. Offered only in part-time mode, you'll study three online courses, one each trimester plus a face-to-face course at a local clinical site across the whole year. This will enable you to apply your new understandings to the issues you face in your own practice. You'll receive a strong introduction to postgraduate learning, forming a sound basis for further study in one or more of the areas of academic health practice.
