Master of Business Administration

Griffith University

This program is an advanced general management degree designed for managers who wish to develop a solid business foundation, as well as skills and knowledge of cutting-edge business practices for the 21st century. At Griffith we offer two MBA programs, both are focused around our values of responsible leadership; sustainable business practices; and a global perspective with the aim of making you an effective globally responsible business leader. The two programs we offer differ in their delivery style; one is fully flexible and can be studied online or face to face in a standard 12 week trimester. The accelerated program is online only, and each course is delivered over a 6 week period. Both programs are assessed authentically meaning that students can apply what has been learnt to their workplace with immediate benefit. In both programs students will study courses in sustainability, accounting and reporting, finance, people management, strategy and innovation and managing change through responsible leadership. Through study students will be equipped with an understanding of the key functional areas within a business and the challenges facing businesses. Students that choose a flexible option have a choice to focus their electives in a particular area for example, finance, marketing or supply chain management. Students can also choose to complete an award major in Public Policy. Courses offered as part of the Public Policy award major provide the breadth and depth of public management skills to advance your career both within the public sector the private-public sector interface. • Liveworm — visual communication design studio
  • LiveSpace — a new studio for socially and environmentally responsible design, focusing on interior environments and product development
  • LiveImage — professional photography services
  • LiveLab — film, animation and games projects
  • The App Factory — smartphone app development by IT and multimedia students
  • Griffith Health Clinics — dentistry, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and psychology clinics at the Gold Coast where, under supervision, students saw over 50,000 patients last year
