You will learn to provide thought leadership and business leadership in safety. The program will equip you with an advanced understanding of modern safety theory and practice, including resilience, complexity science, drift, and appreciative understanding of work. You will advance from the implementation of process and prescription towards an ability to provide strategic advice.The first year of the Master of Safety Leadership Program is common with the Graduate Certificate in Safety Leadership, and provides a critical understanding of safety theory, ethics, organisational research and safety management systems. The Master program includes further material on understanding, managing and communicating about risk. You will develop expertise in safety scholarship and learn the concepts, methods and skills required for research, workplace improvement and further learning. You will plan and execute a substantial research or industry project, based on your chosen topic.
