This qualification describes the skills and knowledge required to perform upholstery, including dismantling and reassembling furniture; selecting, cutting, sewing and fitting fabric and leather upholstery materials; and producing loose covers. There is a specialist stream in production upholstery.Specialisation is possible in this qualification depending on the electives chosen. A specialisation can be identified on the testamur where a minimum of two (2) Group A elective units of competency are achieved in production upholstery.Where the production upholstery specialisation is achieved, RTOs should identify this as follows:MSF30713 Certificate III in Upholstery(specialising in Production Upholstery)There are no specific licences that relate to this qualification.
