- A bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7 or higher)in an engineering discipline from an Australian university or an equivalent international institution.
- A bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7 or higher)in any field, supplemented by substantial professional experience in a related area for at least 2 years.
- A combination of non-formal education and relevant work experience in an engineering-related field for at least 6 years
