Transport: Brisbane offers a modern and comprehensive public transport network, including rail, bus and ferry links which can all be accessed through the purchase of a single ticket. Student concessions apply on these services. Two taxi companies operate in the Brisbane metropolitan area.

The Cairns campus combines a spectacular natural setting with modern and innovative teaching and library facilities. It offers state-of-the-art science, health science and computer laboratories, and a dentistry building featuring a world-class clinical simulation laboratory. The student facilities hub has indoor and outdoor performance spaces and brings together a refectory, licensed bar, coffee shop, and bookshop. Other facilities include basketball courts, sports oval, study skills centre, counselling and careers services.
Transport: Free parking and regular Sunbus service to the city and northern beaches.
Mackay | Level 1 Building K Mackay Base Hospital Mackay 4740 QLD
The James Cook University Mackay Education and Research Centre (MERC) is located at the Mackay Base Hospital. The centre accommodates the teaching of the Social Work and Nursing degrees and provides a larger facility for medical and dental clinical placements.

JCU's Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health offers the Bachelor of Nursing Science in Queensland's central west. The centre also comprises research facilities and a library.
Thursday Island | Courthouse Building Victoria Parade Thursday island 4875 QLD
JCU's study centre on Thursday Island delivers nursing and education (early childhood) degrees in Queensland's most northerly region. Students have a 24-hour access computer laboratory and can access the main JCU library remotely.
Townsville | James Cook Drive Townsville 4811 QLD
The expansive bushland campus offers a wealth of activities and facilities for students, including a refectory, licensed bar, coffee shops, bookshop, post office, gym and fitness centre, basketball courts, sports ovals, squash and tennis courts, swimming pool, performance space, childcare centres, and counselling and careers services. There are also market days, free movies and plenty of sporting clubs and student societies to join, ranging from Amnesty International to water polo. Around 1250 students live in residential colleges.
Transport: The Townsville campus is on the main bus route to the city, major shopping centres and residential areas. There is extensive free parking on and around the campus, and numerous bicycle paths.
