In this program students take a common first year to develop a broad skills base and then choose a preferred engineering major. Engineering design is a central theme of this program. The combined degree allows students to combine their engineering degree with studies in information technology over a five-year program.

Structure

120 credit points. All students must complete a minimum of 60 days of engineering professional practice during their studies and must hold a current Senior First Aid certificate at time of graduation.

Electronic systems and the internet of things major only available at Cairns campus. International student visa-holders must not enrol in more than a third of the total credit points for the course in online, distance or external study.
